I am a late 20's professional who moved here to be close to my office downtown and because I still enjoy going out frequently. That said, I have been there nearly a year and plan to move at the end of my lease. The location is fantastic - close to Town Lake and downtown and the neighborhood is adorable. But the other tenants are dreadful - people leave their trash outside their doors for days on end (despite mgmt's warnings that they fine for that - I suspect that is not very well enforced), they are loud at all hours (try 1 a.m. on a Tuesday - when you have to get up at 7 to go to work, that is not cool), and they don't seem to ever pick up after their pets (the area near the laundry room smells like crap, literally). The parking lot is a nightmare too. I am actually embarassed to have people over to my shoe box/hovel of an apartment (which, I might add, has a propensity to leak during thunderstorms and lose hot water when it is cold outside). I can't wait to move and live near real people with jobs and their own bank accounts who keep normal hours, even if it means driving an extra 15 min. to get to work.
