Place to call home...... :)

We have lived at Soco since day 1, and we will be re-leasing. The staff is awesome and friendly (for the most part.... see below), and the property is very well-kept. Most people who live here are young professionals, so no reason to fear neighbors...etc.
A FEW things to keep in mind, however....
1. The walls are a bit thin... you can hear the showers running above you, and if your neighbors yell at each other a lot... well- you can hear that too. So please don't.
2. Ila, who works in the office, is EXTREMELY unpleasant. She treats everybody like pre-schoolers, speaking condescendingly and very shortly. Don't count on her for any help or to answer any questions. We wondered if it was just with us, so we asked around... nope- everybody is bothered by her. Also, on Saturdays when she is supposed to be the only person managing the office, it is often closed all day. So... if you EVER need ANYTHING, talk to Tonya or even Alex (the maintenance manager).
3. It is located on south congress, so if the sound of the occasional ambulance, firetruck, or bass drives you nuts, try to live in the back and center of the complex. If you are a normal person who realizes that you live in a city, then I think you can handle it.
So, in sum... the only negative aspect of living here is only one employee. Not enough to make me leave a great place like this, but just enough to make me a bit angry :)

I dont know about the Apartments, but the woman answering the phone has issues with the truth. She claimed to be at the office all day, but I had driven by at two different times to a "Sorry we will return at 10" sign. Then when I called her out on her lie and asked her name, she literally sighed and started verbally repeating my name and number off her caller id as if i was supposed to feel threatened. As close as it is located to my desired area, I have no desire to sit under such absurdity. SO i cant say what the apartments look like, they may be great, but the person working on saturdays who claims to be the assistant manager needs some severe attitude adjustment. If she cant deal with me asking for her managers name, I can only imagine how she deals with tenants. |
