Just too bad that, although she claims it to be the past.....if she weren't lying to herself......she'd state that In General, Since way back when, and/or We've been an always be: A Real Crappy Place to Live!!!!! A good friend of mine lived there Nov.2008(living there about a year). Same manager now as then, manager harrassed her, when she wouldn't answer her apt door the manager would put notes stating, "I know you're in there." Manager picks favorites. Another tenant(say her name is Nikki) staying there around same time, was sexually harassed by another tenant or by loiterer. Nikki then typed and printed up a flyer stating what had happened to her, when, where exactly, and described the man. Manager then evicted Nikki for her actions. Nikki went to Manager when situation happened. Manager took no actions in warning other tenants of the crime, no tips for other tenants safety so that situation that happened for Nikki wouldn't repeat itself for/with another tenant. But manager did nothing and then wrongfully punished Nikki for doing so. There are no background checks, tenant in the apt directly across office, second floor; has Felonies on his record. Drug Dealers, Drug users, Tenants want you to believe they're giving you a safe, ''neighborhood watch". Reality is they're all just Nosy Neighbors that don't mind their own business. Whoa....and that maintenance man-Horrible. Has to be the worst I've ever dealt with or probably heard of. He doesn't fix anything, cuts corners, lazy, lies, all around full of it! Instead of helping new tenant out by unlocking laundry room door one night, (new tenant)not used to closing and locking up of laundry room at certain time:9pm @Southland. Maitenance man claimed he couldn't simply unlock the door he just locked cuz manager has alarmed set for room and to get that code he'd have to call her at her home, get the code, so on and so. Next morning @7am on the dot, Maitenance man arrived at laundry room door with key in hand unlocked door, swung door open, went back to his apt. WTF'!'!'! He waters bit of lawn out front his apt daily, paying no mind to the rest of complex or water band which is in full effect. So I guess to sum my large opinion of Southland Apts, I will say and warn to all who are, might be, or have been tricked by low rent prices, easy application access, and "friendly" while face to face-managment.....DON'T BE IT'S ALL BULL!!! ROACHES CONSTANT NEVER LETTING UP EVER, NOSY NEIGHBORS, LAZY MAINTENANCE MAN, CRAPPY ASSEMBLY(FIXING THINGS CHEAPEST AND LAZIEST WAY @TIME) UNSAFE, ETC. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO ANOTHER APT COMPLEX; DONT EVEN TALK WITH MANAGER. JUST GO DOWN TO STASSNEY AND MANCHACA, CHERRY CREEK APTS. BEST FOR YOUR MONEY AND THEY FOLLOW THROUGH COMPLETELY!!!!!!!!! I've lived at Southland and know many who also have.............TRUST ME!! YOU'LL REGRET IT FOREVER!!!
