I've been at Stoney Ridge for three years now and haven't had any problems. The couple of maintenance problems that occurred (dishwasher/disposal problem and a fan) were fixed the same day that I reported them. The fan was fully replaced within 30 minutes of me reporting it. I, personally, haven't had any problems with the office, but I know that they have been rude to some of my neighbors on occassion. As for the murder that took place, not only was it not drug related, it was an accidental murder that occurred when two guys (ex-lovers) were brawling and one hit his head on something. The other man turned himself in within a day of the accident. As for cars being broken into, I haven't had any problems. I leave my purse in my car and have tons of CDs that haven't been touched in the 3 years I've been here. However, I live in the front of the complex and nothing bad seems to take place up here. I think most of the problems take place in the far back of the complex. I'm a single female and have never been harrassed or felt unsafe since moving here. There was an ex-marine that was hired to watch the complex, but he was fired when the new management (the supposed rude ones) took over. I think this is a nice placd to live and it's spacious for the rent. It's not the newest, most modern, or amenity rich apartment complex, but the grounds are well kept. Just stay on the good side of the management and make maintenance requests in person and there won't be any problems.
