I have mixed reviews about my time as a tenant at Stoney Ridge. On the one hand the property is lovely, is conveniently located, and the maintenance staff is friendly and quick to respond.
However, the office staff is very rude. When purchasing our first home, something that should have been a happy occasion for us, the office staff at Stoney Ridge made it into a huge pain in the ass. The "administrative re-letting fee" is exorbitant, and even though we paid all our fees in full and paid for the days our apartment sat empty, a couple days later they sent us another bill for $30 -- an "accounting mistake". So, basically they found one more day in there they could charge us for. They did the same when we moved into the place -- wanting to collect our keys on a Friday evening before the office closed so that we could get started moving in before the office opened on Saturday -- charging us $30 for that "day" as well. It's strange to me that they are so grubbing for every last red cent, and I know we were not the only ones they did this to.
I know it seems minor, but it's the spirit behind these actions that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I spoke to the office manager to let her know how the customer service experience has been. She said the conversation we were having was ridiculous, and she was going to hang up.
That is how they appreciate the customers at Stoney Ridge. It is a great property with a great location. But frankly the rent is too high and they raise it just a little bit more every time you renew your lease. Don't rent there. There are plenty of comparable properties in the area, with better customer service.

I agree. The management there is far from helpful. Don't expect any concessions from those people, especially the manager who thinks she is god's gift to apartment management. Maybe if ANY of the office staff actually lived there, they would understand the tenant's issues. They refuse to be accomodating, even when the apartments are in disrepair. The location and property itself is desirable, however the overpriced, outdated apartments and ridiculous management are not worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say that I do not agree with these statements. I have lived at Stoney Ridge for 3 years now & the only complaints I have are minor & are complaints that you would have in pretty much any apartment. I think the ladies in the office are very pleasant & have always taken care of my needs. I have several friends that live here & also get along well with the office staff. I do agree that maintenance are a-m-a-z-i-n-g & must be pretty happy at work cuz they always have smiles on their faces when i see them. The rent has gone up over the years, but I always do my research before I renew my lease & rents are up every where in Austin. The crappy property across the street has way higher rents than this one. It sucks that you moved out & owed money, but that's no reason to bash people - i'm pretty sure the manager doesnt make the rules.
