i have seen the apts. slowly deteriorate over the 4 years i lived there. there used to be vending machines, a nice, well used swimming pool, and a sort of a terse, but okay mgmt.

then something happened, and everything changed. the grounds became really bad, they filled up the swimming pool (yes, filled it up with dirt, and planted a palm in it; i am not kidding, you may still find the pool chairs around it ;-).

then my rent went up from 550 to 680, then to 800 in about 2 years. then they introduced the water bill (which was $20, and we were two graduate students who were rarely home from the lab).

another friend of mine used to live out of the bedroom, as his living room was tiny, and the bedroom was huge. you should avoid some apts.

after 4 years of living there, they failed to make any concessions for me. i had a lot of fond memories of sucasa (friends, parties), but i did leave pissed, and with a bitter taste.
