Initially, I admit, I was suckered in to this place thinking it would be a pretty decent place to live thanks to the proximity to schools, grocery stores, and downtown. However, after being here for just a month I realized I live in a total sh*thole.
The microwave and dishwasher in the unit have NEVER EVER WORKED. EVER. Despite seeking repairs, they've just magically never worked. To be honest, I don't think it's maintenance's fault; they're the only positive to this place. Well, at least they were. The constant management changes from just office workers to OWNERSHIP OF THE WHOLE DAMN PLACE have just kept everything here at a consistent level of crappy.
They attempted to hirer a security guard thanks to all the psychos, trash, crackheads, and break-ins but that useless bastard only cares if you're near the pool past 10. I have never seen him actually do anything useful unless you think harassing random people on their patio while less than 200 feet away a crazy skank threatens to run over her boyfriend as useful.
Don't even get me started on the actual look of this place. They just "remodeled" the whole place which consisted of ugly siding, painting the metal on the patios crap green, and pretending the stairs aren't screwed up with a new coat of paint. It is the most pathetic attempt at covering up the problems with these place I have ever seen.
I can keep going and going but here is a easy list of the problems:
- No parking. If you work 2nds you will never have a place to park.
- Speed bumps. They will screw up your car.
- Gates are ALWAYS broken. Heaven forbid the exit gate is stuck closed; you'll have to drive up a hill over the crappy speed bumps and there is *no* avoiding ruining your car unless you have a large suv/truck.
- Community is trashy. Yes, there are great people here, but for every great person you have 5 people that look/act like they just walked off the Springer show and make living here an aural hell.
- Your car WILL be broken into. Don't worry, with the broken gate, lack of lighting in the parking lot, questionable neighbors, and apathetic security guard your stuff will be broken into at least once if you have to park on the hill.
- The office workers are dicks. This is pretty straight-forward. They're dicks.
- Getting something repaired now is a total crap shoot. Plus, even if you didn't give them permission to enter, they will still try to walk in your apartment after only one knock.
- Fundamental things like DOORS are screwed up. My bedroom door literally can't close because it's so crooked and warped it literally won't fit into the frame and has never been addressed despite several service requests.
- Ancient appliances. I'm sure this would all be state of the art if this were 1997. If something breaks, rather than replace the piece of crap, they "repair" it.
I could go on and on and on about the little things, but I hate thinking about how much this place sucks and the fact I am stuck here thanks to my lease. If you sign one, make sure you read everything, because they will ---- with you over the smallest detail you forgot. ALSO KEEP TRACK OF EVERYTHING YOU'VE PAID. If they think they can get away with it, they will constantly tell you that you owe them this or that and threaten you with eviction just to squeeze $100 you don't even owe out of you. If they say you have any balance, tell them you want proof of it in writing! The office people are so retarded and useless that they'll probably be incredibly confused with things like "writing" and "receipts" so tread carefully.
If you're thinking about moving here, I cannot stress DO NOT DO IT. DO. NOT. DO. IT. enough.
MOVE SOMEWHERE ELSE! YOU CAN FIND BETTER EASILY.

I must agree with this person. I have never actually seen a security guard but he did make a mysterious appearance to put an orange sticker on my car when it was parked "illegally" despite that fact that there are 4 or 5 cars parked in front of the fire zone EVERY night! Living here has also made me want to demand to see an actual apartment and not just the model b/c I was sorely disappointed when I moved in to see the old appliances, the crooked fixtures and broken plugs. I cannot wait to leave this place!

i have to AGREE w/this person.the model looked nice and then when you move in it is a mess.there is no assigned parking when i moved in the gate worked for like a month then someone came out to repair it and its been unlocked ever since.the parking will mess up your car and parking is the WORST.working 2 jobs makes me forget where i parked b/c i have to park hella far and whatnot.when you make a complaint for them to come out and fix something they will say it will take more time and they still dont fix a damn thing.
