Look closely before you rent!!! Cracks in bathtubs are merely covered with liner or painted over. If you live on the backside of the complex, don't count on them maintaining the grounds. There is a tree that has has 3 or 4 large limbs fall off and it has yet to be cut down (so do not park under it). Rain water collects near the building leading to rot and termites. There are constant pipe breaks and repairs leading to muddy parking lots and 6' x 3' holes that seem to never disappear and lead to a small cockaroach problem. Oh, the labor they hire to do things is cheap and they litter the parking lot with nails and other tire piercing paraphernalia. The carpet is shoddy to say the least. Repairs are never meant to last, only to outlast your residency there (they count on you leaving in < 1yr, before you start to "notice"). The plugs are out of date and do not securely hold applience plugs in (watch out if you have kids). We even have a plug in the master bedroom that has not worked in years (we reported it 2 yrs ago - still not fixed). When your dish washer goes south they will come out and do nothing (make sure you have newer appliences (< 20yrs old) when you move in because you will not get replacements). You will have extremely high utility bills because the buildings are poorly insulated (my apt faces west and the bills range from $80 in winter to >$200 in summer). Oh, and when you complain they shrug thier shoulders like they just do not care. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL MY LEASE ENDS!!!

You stupid. My electric bill never over $80 in the hottest summer month. Didn't they teach you to close the patio door when you're running the AC and to only leave the lights on your pot plants for 12 hours a day? I moved in here because the staff is so friendly and helpful; you must make a nuisance of yourself whenever you call! I'm pretty sure therapy holds the answers you seek...

I completely agree with the original poster. Sundance always does cheap fixes that aren't supposed to last for more than a few months, a year max. The staff is friendly, yes, until you point out that their shoddy fixes and crappy workmanship aren't going to cut it. We just moved out and I have never been happier.

"and to only leave the lights on your pot plants for 12 hours a day?" How do you know that bit of trivia? Studying to be a botanist eh? hippy

I completely agree with you. My toilet tank has a huge hole in it and was patched up with caulking and and a rusty bolt.
