I've repeatedly asked for management to do something about the late night swimmers. I live next to the pool and people decide to do their weekend after-hours partying there. Every weekend night I get woken up around 2 or 3 a.m. with loud people at the pool. The management keeps telling me they will put locks on the gate after-hours but they haven't done so yet. I'm not the only one here with kids so it gets really annoying they don't do anything. Also, the other day, there were some people with dogs swimming in the pool. I complained as it was happening and the staff person was totally ambivalent. I had to follow her inside the office and ask her again to go out there immediately. It was like she didn't even care. On top of this, as some previous person has posted, there is hardly ever any hot water. It's ridiculous. Parking is bad. And the icing on the cake for me today is that there has been an anonymous washer sitting outside my apt. for 2 days now. I guess the maintenance man decided to leave it there!!
UPDATE: I'm writing this at 2:00 a.m. because I have had another wake-up call by people partying at the pool in the early morning hours. Although I've complained numerous times to the apt. management, they do nothing. They keep telling me that they will lock the gates to the pool at night, but they never do. Then they tell me to call the police, which I do, but the police never come. Frankly, the police have better things to do! I have not had one night's peace since I moved in here. That's not the only thing. They let the pool get green and nasty and wait for days to clean it. The hot tub has been broken for weeks. The so-called gym has broken equipment. As the other tenants have stated, there is never hot water. I have to run the kitchen sink and the bathtub for 10 minutes before there is any hot water coming out. One day, came home from work to find a random washing machine outside my apt. I don't know why it was there, but I contacted the apt. manager to tell them to move it. It took 4 days and 2 phone calls before they finally moved it. This place sucks.

Hate to tell you, but most apartment complex pools are considered private property so the complex would have to be the ones to call the police most of the time. This place sounds like a piece of S@$&! I will not be signing a lease thanx for the info!

Those are not major problems AT ALL. have you asked to transfer to a unit that is not facing the pool? Stop complaining.

How can you say that's not a problem at all when the only alternative you are suggesting involves:
taking a few days off work,
packing your entire place,
either hiring movers or having to carry all your belongings in and out of the apartment (possibly even up and down the stairs),
spending an additional two or three days to get everything in order,
not even considering the place will charge you damages to the old apartment and make you pay a deposit at the new one
For all that, you might as well just leave the complex all together. The property manager should take what ever action is necessary to make sure all the rules are followed. But they won't, because they suck
