I have to let my water run for a good little while when I am ready to take a shower. I live on the 3rd floor.
That had been the least of my problems though!

When I first moved in I thought they had not turned the hot water on. I kept going to my mothers for 3days before they finally told us we had to let it run for 5 minutes! Every single time we wanted warm water it took atleast 5 minutes. It was awful

It takes almost 10 min sometimes for me to get hot water in my Kitchen and bathroom sinks... but when i take a shower it takes half that time but i have the water on full blast so it heats faster. And there has been 2 ocasions that i have had NO hot water at all.

At least once a month I have no hot water and yes even though they more than doubled my water bill I have to let the water run for 5 to 10 minutes to get hot water - the maintance guy took a ---- all over my toliet one day while fixing my light switch in the bathroom and it took them two days to fix a fuse so that i could have power in my bathroom and kitchen - all of this on top of ghetto loud neighbors - i can not wait until Aug when my lease is up

The trick is turning on your tub faucet 1 or 2 minutes before you think you'll need hot water. That's how I get my dishes done. Of course, it's a terrible waste of water, but I also would like to have CLEAN plates to eat off of. When I have more time I boil water on my stove and wash my dishes in that. It wastes less water. I'm looking forward to moving, needless to say!

When I moved from the complex after 4 years (with just two months left on my lease), the complex found a renter after just two weeks of the apartment being empty. I was more than happy to pay the remaining rent on the apartment but the "re-letting" fee of $500 was not appealing, to say the least. They agreed to waive that fee (verbally, I know, my fault for that) and then proceeded to report me to a collection agency for that fee, the pet deposit fee they lost and some late fee. So, I now have a ding on my credit report to the tune of more than $600 and I'll pay it eventually but it's completely unfair and no amount of calling to discuss it like rational adults got me anything more than a referral BACK to the collection agency. I refuse to work with collection agencies so I've begun exploring my options as well. Good luck with your case. It's one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had and I've lived in several major cities in several other states throughout my adult life. They are awful, unprofessional, unhelpful people and the complex is one of the worst I've seen.

I lived there for a year and had many of the issues that have been listed about this place. I approached management many, many times about the hot water issue and no one ever came to look at it. What I noticed is I would receive hot water in the bathrooms, but the dishwasher, washing machine and kitchen sink water never got above room temp. I once let the faucet in the kitchen run for almost 10 minutes (which is a RIDICULOUS waste of water) but I was curious to see if it ever got hot. It did not. I also had a similar issue of getting a verbal answer in regards to repainting the apartment when I moved out. I have rented at many different places and always paint a few walls in each place. My previous experiences have always been that the apartments use a specific color on their walls and either make it available themselves or can be purchased at places such as Sherman Williams, etc. I asked the maintenance man and two employees in the office about the specific color I needed to use and was told any white paint would work. After I painted the apartment back using a white paint from Home Depot, I was charged $250 to repaint the with their specific color?!? I realize I should have gotten it in writing, but assumed that after three different verbal agreements, that it must be their policy. Boy I was wrong...
