Talavera Apartment Homes

 

This is the first time I've written a review for an apartment.

I've lived in 5 different apartments while in Austin and this is the best one I've been in so far.

The maintenance fixes issues right away (I've only had a battery replaced in a smoke detector and my A/C looked at.) The office staff is really nice.

Place seems safe, I haven't had any problems.

The interior is nice, still seems pretty new-- (e.g.

there isn't a lot of patchwork on the walls, scratches on stuff etc) Your surrounded by greenbelt, and there is real easy access to e/w-bound tollroad as well as 183 (there is a entrance on lakewood park dr.

that's kinda hidden.

And the BIG BIG plus for me is that it (or at least my apartment) is that it is quiet.

I was so sick of hearing other peoples t.v.

etc.

in other apartments, but the layout of these apartmens is great, you only share one wall and that wall puts either 2 bathrooms or 2 closets between you and your neighbor.

The bad is ..
Parking is sometimes a drag if you try to get parking after 8-9 pm on weekends (you may have to walk a little 200ft or so.

You are required to get rental insurance to be there...

never heard of this but it isn't that much..

like $5/mo.

I think it basically insures you against damage made to the apartment, its not much its just one more thing to do when you are moving in that was kinda annoying (the insurance company doesn't want to insure you unless you live there and you can't move in unless you have it.)

That's about it..

Overall a really good choice.
