Let's cut the crap here. Any good reviews about Jewels or Sue are ridiculous. The new management has resolved so much more than Sue or Jewels every even attempted. The renovation is going smoothly and Amy has been nothing but helpful in resolving issues. I read these reviews about how Sue was 'friendly' and 'thats what mattered'. That's crap. Friendly doesn't matter when you've got balcony doors as old as Jesus himself that need to be replaced. Friendly does not matter when you have a furnace that coughs dust every time it tries to access the pilot light. Amy and the new management are serious about making living in this apartment complex stable, secure, and most definitely maintained. Screw this hippie crap about Sue. I'm happier that someone actually took over who is running it like a business now, and not a place to smoke a joint.

Oh really? Amy "I don't care" manager, Amy? Are we talking about the same person? If you'll notice, she posted a note on her door telling everyone not to bother her because she doesn't want to hear about your problems or concerns as a resident. She will make sure her apt and surroundings are secure and up to date, but F the rest of the complex. Her husband has been caught blocking two parking spaces so that she has a place to park and doesn't have to park on the hill like the rest of us. None of the maintenance requests are complete on time. And when they do complete them, its a poor job at best. Sue and Jules tried their best to make sure everyone was taken care of. They'd give you their cell phone and have you call ANYTIME day or night if you needed them. They did as much as they could. Their relatives that actually owned the properties are the ones you should be mad about if you wanted something replaced and didn't get it done. Sue and Jules would have done it in a heatbeat if they could have.

I think these "positive" reviews about the new owners are BY THE NEW MANAGEMENT and not actual residents. NO ONE I've talked to is happy. And I know that Amy and Chad tell everyone that Sue and Jules have moved to California. THEY HAVE NOT!!! They are still in Austin. Don't think Amy is on your side. When the remodel is done, your rent will go up and you'll be forced out. They are already trying to raise rent and back bill people WHICH IS ILLEGAL!!! Your current rent is paying for this shoddy remodel and then we'll see how much they "care!"

This property sucks.

Actually what the note said was please understand that this was their home and PLEASE take up office issues at the office. She has 2 children that she probably wantes to spend time with she is at home at not dealing with everthing after 5pm. if you were paying that much attention to her not you may have read the note Amy had which she has since removed because she felt if people really needed her after 5 she would be there!

maybe if problems were dealt with right away the resident wouldn't need to contact her at home... the office just now put a phone # on their front door sign and they've been here ten months...
