My stay at Tanglewood was a short one. Only a few more months on a 13 mo. lease and I'm out. This is due to:

1.) The windows and walls are very thin and it is right by I35 and railroad tracks. The train sounds like it is coming through your windows. Sirens and screeching brakes seem inches away.

2.) When I was shown the apartment, I was shown a floorplan that was very different from the apartment that I recieved. My room has a very small closet whereas the one I was shown had a walk in.

3.) Speaking of small, the entire apartment can been seen in one glance. They are tiny!! The "dining area" is the same as the living area and the kitchen cannot fit but one person at a time.

4.) The sink has been leaking, or should I say gushing water which has already been "fixed" once.

5.) For the large amount that you pay for the place you get small space, loud noise and not an old looking interior.

6.) I got towed in my own complex for parking in a handicap spot at 12 midnight when I've never seen any handicapped people park there because there weren't enough parking spaces for me to park in my own complex. I had to pay $200 to get my car out because the complex has insufficient parking. No sympathy from the staff.

7.) Numerous break-ins

8.) No washer/dryer connections and dryers that don't dry

But other than that....

The maintainence men are nice, the grounds are ok, the pool is cute, and it's on a UT shuttle bus route. Still, I refuse to renew my lease. But don't take my word for it, check it out, you might like it
