I lived at Tanglewood for about a year and a half and have no complaints about the apartment. While I do think that it was a bit expensive for the level of quality, I also understand that this was an apartment relatively close to campus and a UT shuttle (therefore the price can be somewhat justified). I loved the fact that it only took me 15-20 minutes to get to campus, and cost significantly cheaper than any West campus apartments. AC and heat are paid for by the complex, but they decide when to switch the system over from one to the other based on a certain outside temperature...which can be annoying. Out of all the apartments I have lived at, Tanglewood has the best move-out procedures BY FAR. I have never had any charges and have always gotten back my full deposit (and I own a pet). The train can be annoying, so try to live in the building furthest away from Airport. I have lived in both buildings and noticed a significant difference in the noise levels--the building on Bennet was much quieter. No complaints about the office staff. For an apartment close to campus that primarily serves students, this one ranks at the top.
