Decent Student Housing

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
Lived here for a year and a half, and started out happy, but ended upset.
Pros-
1) Really close to campus and the bus stop
2) One of the nicest complexes on RR bus route
3) Rooms and closets are pretty large
4) Close to the Hancock Center
Cons-
1) Solicitation by random people in the evenings (and nothing done about it)
2) Car break-ins (personal experience)
3) Upon move-out, did not get deposit back for 5 months (and probably would have been ignored if I hadn't constantly called and eventually went to Kennedy-Wilson, the main apartment owner)
4) Had a bad refrigerator, and was told it was fine, but then had to use a refrigerator in another apartment because it broke down (like I knew it would)
5) Awful parking; I hated having to rush home to get there before 6 or 7 just to find a spot...anytime after that, parking in a sketchy neighborhood at least 2 or 3 blocks away
Overall as a student, though, as long as you're not picky, it works. Convenience is a great reason to deal with all the bad issues. My husband and I moved out, though, because we wanted something nicer with more amenities, even though we're going to have to drive to school.
