How to get your deposit

Apartment complexes have 30 days to send your deposit back to you or a letter stating why you have not received your deposit. If they do not do this, you are legally entitled to 3 times the amount of your deposit plus an additional $100. Many people do not know this and often never see their money. I'm sure if you contacted MBS and reminded them of this law, you would see your money. If not, contact the Austin Tenant's Association and they can help direct you to the appropriate people. Then again, Fox 7 News was very successful in getting the management to get things done!
