This seems to be a common practice for MBS!!
Check out www.housing-rights.org for information on the laws pertaning to refunds of security deposits, who to contact to file a complaint against MBS, and other agencies that offer legal aid for little to no cost! The Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division enforces the Deceptive Trade Practice Act which sometimes applies to the security deposit. Their mailing address is:
P.O. Box 12548, Austin, 78711
Phone - 463-2070
It's a shame that people have to resort to these measures to get what is rightfully theirs. Hopefully, more people will pursue this issue and bring attention to MBS's unethical practices.

Thank you so much for this information. I am trying to find the MBS corporate address to send them a certified letter and, of course, the office staff there will not release it. This is just insane!
