I'm so happy that y'all, as residents, took a stand for yourselves. I watched the 7 On Your Side report and I was floored!!
I am an unpaid vendor of MBS Management Company. And let me just tell you that they were bouncing checks WAY BEFORE Hurricane Katrina-which is the excuse they use (within the past 9 months anyway) for NOT paying their bills. Checks as little as $30.00 were bouncing. Pretty sad.
Maybe if enough of you get together, you can put them out of business. Personally, I don't understand why they are still managing properties anyway--they obviously can't handle the responsibility.
I have never lived at an MBS property and I have no immediate plans to but one thing is clear: If you see the MBS name---RUN the other way. It's not just you guys either--it is ALL MBS properties. The similarities are uncanny--trash piling up, mold, no lighting, broken gates, RUDE-ASS staff, etc.
Has anyone contacted the Austin Apartment Association' 512-323-0990 incase anyone is interested. They might be able to point y'all in the right direction so that something pro-active can be put in place.
