I have been waiting 3 weeks for my full refund for app/move-in fees that should have never been desposited prior to app being approved. If the staff at Walnut Creek knew that the app should be separate due to if app is not approved preventing the customer from waiting for their money that is due to be given back to them at the time the app is not approved. Although my situation was not that my app wasnt approved, the inefficient staff failed to realize that the current tenant of the Unit had extended to the end of the month which would not allow me to move in by the date we had agreed upon. The Unit I was promised was no longer available until the following month. What an inconvience to me and the fact that my lease ended at the end of the current month, and extending would cost me more money. They offered a Unit in the Bristols but rate was $125 more and didn't come with a garage. Well, who benefits from that'...not me. Well, I just want my full refund including the app fee due to their oversight. Whatever you do before you lease from Park at Walnut Creek, make sure you tell them not to deposit the check until after app processed or tell them they should do what every other complex does...they should not be combined payments to prevent this. Why doesn't someone that works there not realize that is the way it should be done. I gave them a check on 07/22 and they deposited it on 07/23. It took them three weeks to process my app; therefore, I was not approved in one day. the check shouldn't have been deposited. Now when I contact them for status of my refund, the staff tells me they have done their part and corporate has it. Why should I have to call corporate' They screwed up. I guess they want to talk to an attorney which is going to cost them a lot more than $199. Again, think before you move here. The reviews that recommend this place, must be staff.
