So far so good

I moved in July to these apartments and so far things have been great. I read the reviews and I was very concerned, but decided to give it a try. I'm still concerned because the gate has not been repaired, but so far they have been pretty fair in addressing my concerns. The washer and dryer you need to do that yourself I had the same thing happen to me, except I was proactive and took care of it myself. The trash I've seen has been created by the residents that live here. If we take pride in where we stay, maybe the management would be more cooperative. Most of them live here as well. I've checked the police reports and have yet to find all the incidents reported. There were no records of gunfire or breakins for this complex. If there are angry residents, please report the facts- so far I've found this resident to be nice. In addition, after moving in I stopped and asked many residents about this place and I only got positive responses.

Give it time and you will see why a lot of people do not want to live there. We lived their for 2 yrs. and the gate has not been repaird for over 2 years. The trash only gotten taken care of because they got reported to the city and also a tv station. We lived in the back of the apartment and it was quiet. We moved to Elgin to get away from all the crime that is going on in that area of Austin.

THANK YOU. I am praying a change will come. We now have a property manager and leasing agent (newly hired) I also called the company in LA a few weeks ago about the gate and other concerns and soon after the new people were on board. Hopefully for the paying residents a new change of continued improvement will be visible. I'm paying and I expect service or I will complain and be a constant pain.

The gate's been broken since Oct. 2005. They're not going to repair it.
See ci.austin.tx.us/police/currentcrimeinfo.htm for a list of crimes within 500 ft of that address. There have been 52 car break ins, 6 residential break ins and some other alarming crimes in the last 18 months.

You checked the police reports regarding gun fire? Are you kidding me, I am the one who reported the gunfire and I called the cops. Within 5 minutes from my call, police were driving around the complex with the spotlight on. Get your facts straight, police have said that this unit has the highest crime rate in the 78754 area code.
