I agree with most of the critisisms posted here, although I have yet to see any rats of the cheese eating variety...my biggest complaint are the pool rats. The interlopers who come from god knows where and monopolize the pool. The homeless have been found actually bathing in the lower pool...high school kids from Westlake are here on a regular basis partying and trashing the pool. And now we even have people bringing their dogs to the pool and letting them swim!!! While new mgnmt has said they plan on implementing new pool rules, I am not encouraged from reading previous posts about what amounts to lip service from past management. Over the last 2 years the pool problem has been my biggest concern. It's probably going to take a serious injury and a lawsuit before things change.

In all fairness the pool is unique. I have lived here for more than 25 years and people from all over South Austin have been raiding that pool since I was a small child. It won't change. It's one of those Austin things.
You might as well start paying attention to the problems that exist in your apartment and others apts. since health issues and "Rights to Quite and Peaceful Enjoyment" of dwellings are way more important than the pool. What, it's mostly used in the summer only anyway.

I used to live there 4 years ago and couldn't swim in the evenings for all the homeless people and their constant screwing or beating off in the bushes. Ya know, you pay out the ass for a crappy apartment, and when you want to go swimming, even that's taken away from you. The first person that replied here must be some retired folks, because most everyone else won't put up with that crap. All "management" would do when told about the illegal activities at the pool, including drug use & transactions, they shrugged and said, "Oh well, sorry..." Glad I'm long gone from that hell-hole.
