used to be much nicer

I think people get very excited about renting an apartment at jefferson; I know we did. The rents seem competitive, it looks pretty. Office personel (depending on which group you meet) can seem very nice. (they don't make a secret that they're a religiously based organization of sorts, but don't get pushy about it).
...In fact, it's really more average than anything else. So, if you're one of the unlucky ones, you can't EVER seem to get your bug problem taken care of, & I know first-hand how frustrating stuff like that can be (Every time you call the office, there's someone else new there. "For 6 weeks I've been trying to get these bugs taken care of." "Well, I just started here... I'll take a work order...")

This place is really so-so; before all the cutbacks (employees told me the main company's had some financial troubles) it was a much nicer place to live.
Examples: the computers in the computer room used to work; now, not so much. The printer / fax machine is commonly out of toner & paper for MONTHS. It never used to be like this.
So, I think all the negative reviews are from people who expected it to be much nicer. (When you're renting, they tell you they have a jacuzzi; they DON'T tell you it's broken an awful lot.)
Too many dogs here too, Big, unleashed & making poo messes all over. It's not safe being onsite if you're not in your car, due to the dogs (& the speeding drivers -- no walking paths for people! who designed this'')
Anyway, it's sad because we've watched it deteriorate while we're lived here.
