Jefferson Canyons and Jefferson Lakes were combined and named Tintara at Canyon Creek when JPI sold the property to Waterton Residential in 2006. I once loved living here and am shocked by how quickly the property has declined under Waterton's management. I was attracted to this property because it was quiet and peaceful. Now, the cops make frequent visits because of noise, drugs, and domestic violence. The property is less well kept, there is trash around the lawns, the access gates usually don't work, and the maintenance staff is incompetent and unreliable.

The "amenities" they advertise on their website including the "state-of-the-art" fitness center are just for show. The exercise equipment is ancient and most of the machines have been broken since I moved in five years ago! They also claim that they offer two business centers but one is closed because of a computer virus. They blame Time Warner Cable but the result is that two computers are shared by two apartment complexes and the access to those two computers is heavily restricted because of vandalism (so they say). I'm terrified to use the common areas because of the people I see in this complex and the sounds I hear! A woman was raped here in April 2007 and they think the man who did it lives in the complex. I found that out by watching News 8 Austin.

They boast of scenic views, but the view I see every day when I pull into the complex are sketchy looking people loitering about and a white van advertising $79 divorces. Now that's classy!

If you have a complaint about noise outside of office hours they offer the phone number of a courtesy associate but it's just an answering machine. I've called five times about my neighbor's excessively loud music (who wants to be awoken at 4am') and my phone call has been returned by the courtesy associate once!

The management won't return phone calls unless they pertain to renewing your lease which I very much regret doing. I will not lease from Waterton Residential again!
