I am a current resident and have lived here for 5 years and it was great when it was a JPI property. But ever since Waterton took over the whole place has gone to CRAP! They switched water service providers last fall and my water bill has now almost TRIPLED for one perosn. Furthermore, they are now charging PET RENT, which is a crock of ---- considering my cat is spayed and declawed. What the hell is the point of me paying a damn $300 deposit with only half refundable then' The pools and hot tubs are nasty and they can't even keep up the exterior lighting of the buildings. (Doesn't really make you feel safe when you come home late at night!) The ladies in the office are incompetent and never call you back when they say they will. Work orders take FOREVER to get fixed. My hot water heater broke in December and I was without hot water for 6 days and ended up with the flu! I can't wait until my lease is up!

WOW - what complex do you live in? I live in Tintara at Canyon Creek and they are great. They have updated the parking lot lighting, repainted, washed out all the breeze ways, they have a great event every month for familys and all for free. They have put in new driveways and the office staff are excellent. This is the best place in Austin to live. I think you may have posted your comments on the wrong board.

"Anonymous" is obviously one of the Tintara office staff. They prowl these listings and do their best at damage control. Believe the reviewer. The staff is rude and incompetent and expect to be grossed-out by the pools.

The first poster sounds like joshua. Keeps mentioning the "monthly free event." Joshua doesn't provide any details. The pools have gotten better. The problem is that idiots keep breaking glass around the pools and they have to close them. I am not sure about some of the tenants. Last summer I witnessed a "lady" shaving her legs in the pool.

I find it humorous that the first responder says this is the best place in austin to live. Wow. Because they must have lived everywhere else in Austin to form this unbiased opinion right? There is a reason that Tintara offers such cheap rent, you get what you pay for. I personally have not had issues of rudeness with the office staff, but I have had limited contact with them. However, since so many people seem to agree, it wouldn't surprise me if it was true.
