We've lived here since September of 2008. Tintara is located in NW Austin, right near hill country. It's one of the most desirable up-and-coming areas in Austin. As for Tintara, specifically, it's extremely safe and convenient to Cedar Park for shopping. It's also nice to be so close to Lake Travis.

Overall, this is a fantastic place to live. I will say that there are little details here and there that don't get addressed, but that holds true in every apartment complex. You have to be a serious nitpicker to actually care about such things.

Here are some of the highlights:

- Extremely friendly staff. They even hand out dog treats!
- Reasonable rent for the area
- Close to Wal-Mart!
- Absolutely no bugs in the apartment (that is huge for me)
- Their "CARE" program offers occasional free get-togethers. Who can complain about free food'
- We never hear neighbors through the walls.
- A very quiet community and never crowded in common areas such as gyms, pools, and spas.

There are a few small areas that they could improve in as follows:

- The whole "pay extra for covered parking" option is reinforced by a lack of conveniently located free uncovered spots. Simply put, if you don't feel like shelling out a few extra dollars, be prepared to walk an extra minute or two if you get home late at night. It's not too bad, but it's noticeable (and comical).
- The gates are not always closed, and there are several other ways for would-be thieves to easily enter the community.
- The TV remote controls in the gyms never have batteries in them. Then again, maybe I wouldn't need to go to the gym if I wasn't so lazy in the first place.
- The computer center needs some TLC.
- Several months ago, they renovated the dumpster areas with very inexpensive metal doors that are already tore up, and they squeak all night when it's windy.
- Some residents don't pick up after their dogs. I do not recommend walking barefoot in this community.

Again, I highly recommend Tintara.
