Picky management that tolerates crime From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/14/2005 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005   I was attracted to this place because it is very clean and safe. We have a Willamson County policeman in the neighborhood which is a big help. My issues are that the management seem more concerned with what people put on their patios rather than the activities that go on in the block. I have received four letters from them asking me to remove certain items from my patio that "do not comply" with the rules. Once they complained about trash or something being thrown from the upper floors. The dumpster is right out in front of us and the wind is always blowing stuff around the parking lot. They should be more concerned with the criminal activity that goes on around here. I have been here since last summer on a 13-month lease special and there has been a Chinese Massage parlor open on the first floor of my building since last August. I can hear the girls with their customers sometimes through the floor. Everyone talks so loud especially at night. The cop in the building adjacent to us is blind to this fact as are the folks in the office. This is typical of the overall attitude in Austin though. Anything goes as long as people pay rent I guess.
