University Commons Apartments

Pick of Crap From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/18/2004 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2000   When I first moved in I found weed (yes, the illegal kind) in the bathroom. Oh and by the way, there was no bathroom door. It was literally ripped from the hinges. AND the management didn't replace it until about three months later (after a screaming match with the manager, who cussed me out and slammed the door on me). The carpet was disgusting and black (which management didn't think it was bad enough to be replaced). There were stains on the furniture AND there was food left by the last tenants in the cupboards (that stunk up the entire apt). THere are always parties going on so you definitely can't sleep on weekends nights. The gates are ALWAYS broken and there were incidents of attempted rapes and attacks in the parking lots. The shuttle to the UT campus is always packed so you usually have to wait about 30 min for the next bus to arrive. I don't know how many times I've been late for class and meetings b/c of it. AND one last bit: they tried charging me for things like cleaning the apt after I moved out (which apts aren't suppose to do...if you read your contract, you're not liable for routine cleaning of the apt).
