has gotten much better

I have lived here since Fall 2004 and I haven't had much complaint. When me and my roommates first moved in everything was newly painted and our furniture looked good (just little baby chips). Our carpet however was not very good so they changed it the first week. That same week I saw them changing alot of other people's carpets too. Everything that was wrong with our apt. was fixed immediately and I really do mean that. About the noise, there are mostly college students living here who like to party so to be annoyed by the noise is stupid, why move to a college apt if you are going to hate the noise. I do not think I personally would get along with everyone who lives here because they don't seem to study as much as I do but it's better than living on campus where you have 2 feet of room and dumb people running up and down the dorm hallways or paying for an apt in west campus that is unfurnished and where you have to worry about your roommates not paying the rent. I don't however always hear parties going on I guess I live in a building where not that many people like to party...Also, if you are hearing movement above your apt (footsteps) then get a house! because I've lived in other apts too and there has always been noise above me when I didn't live on the highest floor. And about the break-ins, it's Riverside..My car however hasn't gotten broken into but I have an alarm and maybe my car isn't as expensive as others.. or maybe I just don't leave my CDs in the car! It is unfortunate however for those who have to go through that ( I have before, not here though). I would just say try to get an alarm. The office staff is not mean..they do look unorganized however but most of the people who work there are students..like most of the people making these reviews..and probably arent' aspiring to become permanent workers for UC so if you have a real problem just talk to Management. We did and all of our problems have been fixed. Oh and about the person who wrote about his/her car getting towed...um that is simple put your sticker on and register your car!..But to end this I would say IF you have the money to live in west campus or other apts. then do so.. if you do not like me then UC has gotten much better!
