When I first lived here, the management was a dream. They knew us on a first-name basis, as did the maintainence staff. Unfortunately, once the apartment changed hands, things went downhill.

After living there for 2 years, we went in 30 days prior to the end of our lease agreement, and were told that in fact, our place had already been rented and we could not renew.

After we moved, the managemnt did not refund our deposit. We were charged over $200 to fix a ceiling that leaked because their air conditioner unit leaked above us, and made the ceiling collapse. They also charged us $5 to clean each window--which by the way--we had professionally cleaned. If they could find a way to keep our deposit, then they did.

However, we threatened to sue them for the return of our lease, and they immediately gave in, which only goes to show that they knew right away they were in the wrong.

If I were you, I would avoid this kind of trouble at all costs. Yes, the apartments are nice. And yes, they are close to campus, but it's not worth the time or the money to have to go through what we did.
