For anyone who has trouble getting maintenance out to their apartment in a timely fashion, all I have to say is READ YOUR LEASE. To summarize the lease, submit your maintenance request in writing. We did this and had almost every problem dealt with on the same day that we submitted the letter except for when our hot water heater wasn't working and they had to order a new one. But when they installed the new one, it came with an energy saving timer that Austin Electric gives you $25 off your bill just for having it.
The place has a lot of room and the neighbors are reasonably considerate. I have female friends who get a bit scared when walking through the parking lot because of the Hispanic guys who sit out by their trucks and drink and listen to music on weekends, but it's never really bothered me.
My only real complaints are that the driveway is really steep and that frequently, people honk their horns in the parking lot in the morning. And the drawers don't slide out smoothly, but this is a problem at even some of the ritzier apartments.
All in all, if you're a college kid who would prefer to live cheap and don't mind not being near the hub of college parties, it's a pretty good complex.
