I lived at this apartment with a roommate, and I must say at first I was excited this was my first apartment. At first the staff was really nice, then like a week later their true colors came out. The staff (except Josh) was hateful, mean and rude. When I called about the rats, one of the female staff members hung up on me. When I went down to complain about the roaches and rats the staff blamed it on the next door property as well as the fact that it was hot outside (I guess the rats wanted to be in the air conditioning, the roaches just followed). We did have one set if neighbor who spoke english, it was a group of guys about 12 - 15 depending on the month that lived in a 4 bedroom. When they where able to tap into our phone line and place many 1-900 calls the apartment people said it was our fault, not theirs, although the phone box is outside the apartment. Here is a list of other things that happened in the apartment:
1. a rat crawled into my roomates bed
2. My truck was broke into
3. My roommates car was broke into (that is
2 for 2)
4. Some no english speaking people who got
busted for partying at the pool and left
a ton of trash claimed to live in our
apartment, we did get out of that because
we said we would sue (neither my roommate
nor I speak spanish)
5. When we moved out we where charged for
normal wear which is illegal so we had to
go to the Austin Apt Council, they took
it off AFTER YEARS
6. The maintance men stole stuff while we
moving out, I did confront him, he then
claimed not to speak english.
I could really go on forever, but if you really care about things like nice staff, no roaches or rats, mold boths you, you like or have a car, like trash to be put in the dumpster not on the grounds, or even if you just want to feel safe DO NOT MOVE HERE
