I have lived here for over a year and is has gotten worst by the week. IT IS HORRIBLE AT UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS! When we showed up to move in, our apartment was not ready because they "were not expecting" us so soon although the paper work showed that we were to move in the first of that particular month. The apartment we moved into was uneven and smelled like mold. Some of the electrical sockets still to this day do not work. The A/C went out the first month we were there and after putting in request everyday for a week, it took my boyfriend going over to the apartment office screaming at the top of his lungs for them to fix it. Nothing is ever fixed right away. It takes weeks to get things fixed around here. For the past six months there has been rats living inside the walls and I complain every week but no one ever comes over to fix the problem.
I recently looked online to see if sex offenders lived in the area and found out that University Heights is a haven for them. It is not safe. And the management and multiple owners do not care. I am trying to get out of my least right now because this place is not fit for any human being to live in. My boyfriend is in graduate school and there are constant distractions that make it hard for him to concentrate on his studies. Noise, voilence (he has to walk me out in the mornings when I go to work at 5 am), discrepancies in billing,apartment up keep are all monthly distractions and we are sick of it! DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS. THEY MAY ADVERTISE AS STUDENT HOUSING BUT IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR STUDENTS TO FEEL SAFE HERE!
