Marquis mgmt (i.e. the mgmt company that owns university quarters) tried to charge me $585 for a fridge & 2 doors which they never replaced. The fridge & doors were in perfect working order when I left my apt. In order to get that portion of my security deposit back I had to knock on the current resident's door & take pictures to prove that nothing was replaced.

Moreover, my friend had his carpet professionally steam cleaned & they still tried to charge him for a dirty carpet. It was only after he showed Marquis mgmt the receipt that he got his $ back.

These people are crooks who will try to steal ALL of your security deposit. If you want your deposit back you had better be ready to either show them receipts from professional cleaning companies or take them to court.

I would have filed a class action against this business but when I checked into it I found out that it would have cost a lot of $ to do so (I think it was about $180 to file a class action).
