I must say first of all that with the pricing and location, compared to other apartments in the area, looked too good to be true...and they were. The fixtures are falling apart and aging. There is mold in the shower that was actually painted over, that I discovered after 3 or 4 showers. The balcony is actually sagging. These apartments have obviously been around for a while and smell and look like it. The a/c and heaters hardly work, the carpet is musty, the walls are thin and poorly insulated, and homeless people often come into the complex to search through the garbage or sleep in the laundry room, which is open and has no door. The parking lot is poorly lit and so is the complex and frankly I'm glad I haven't gotten mugged yet. Had I seen the property at night I wouldn't have considered renting. In addition, since the apartments are primarily rented to students, count on not getting an ounce of sleep on weekends or during finals. This might be different if the walls were thicker. In addition to the pitiful condition of the apartments, the managment and staff are awful. They seem to rarely answer the phone during business hours, are rude when they do, are never helpful, never smile or say hello. It's almost as if they think you are not worth the trouble if you are a student. It's obvious from their attitudes that they don't value students' business at all. And don't bother asking for repairs to your apartment or somewhere in the complex for that matter. I called about a defective smoke alarm in the complex and it wasn't replaced for two months. I almost went and bought a ladder to replace it myself...In short, the ads are deceptive. This is not a great place to live. It's location is the only thing about it worth considering.
