I have never, in my life, lived at such a poorly run apartment complex! The management doesn't care about you at ALL! You can request all you want, but your files will just get lost and nothing will ever be done about it! They are RUDE and honestly DO NOT care! Mostly on weekends is when the ghetto fabulous cars come through and scout out crap to steal. Broken beer bottles all up and down stairs and sidewalks. I got stuck with some crackwhore roommates that were not respectful AT ALL!! I ABSOLUTELY HATED my time at that hell hole!!....and if you'll notice...the only thing dividing crossing place apartments and those god forsaken government apartments next door .....are some trees and a few bushes! So it's just a hop, skip and a jump across a bush for Tito and Pedro to come and use the crossing place facilities that IIIIII pay to use!..not for them to use..slash break! You could not pay me enough to EVER EVER EVER live there again!!!!!!.....GOOD Riddance Crackwhores/Ghetto Fabulous Babies Daddys!!!!!!

Racially heated or not, it's all true. I lived in Jefferson Commons (few blocks away from Crossing Place) my first year at UT, and the only thing worse than the management of these student apartments is the ghetto fabulous location. Any students looking for housing should seriously investigate this area before moving in, specifically, check out the crime reports for this area. You should also drive the area during the evening and make sure you are prepared to deal with the immense number of insane drivers (most of whom probably have no insurance). After a few months on Riverside, any sane person can't help but have some feelings of animosity towards the vagrants, hooligans, and impolite people who inhabit this area (majority of which are ---------).

I'm hispanic and I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with this review because it IS the truth about this area. Riverside and Oltorf are overrun with LOW CLASS people of all races. That's what happens when the housing is cheap...better to take out a loan and move somewhere where you can be safe
