MY ROOMMATES CAR WAS STOLLEN

My roommates and I live in a 4-4 apartment at University Village. We thought we did a good job shopping around and found a place that would be secure because it was a little ways back from Riverside. This assumption was a big mistake. Our lease is up in August and it cannot come soon enough!
Maintenence:
From the beginning we had problems with maintenence. Something on the dryer was broken and we ended up fixing it ourselves after a month. Thank goodness for handy parents! We also put in a request for them to come take a light with wires sticking out of it. We disconnected it and it is still sitting in the closet. They dont come in a timely manner to fix toilets either.
Security:
Where do I start' First of all we noticed the bottom of the screens on our windows were bent up like someone had tried to break in. Across the hall was a resident who was constantly strung out on drugs and would roam around at all hours. He tried to get into our apartment a few times. The people in our building play their music so loud that the bass drownds out our tv's and radios. I do have to give the office some credit, they seem to be doing what they can to put a stop to this. MY ROOMMATES CAR WAS STOLEN!!! I kid you not! This was the biggest thing to happen to us! It happened the night one of our neighbors was having a loud party. We heard all these cars pealing out in the early morning hours but didnt think to go check to see if a 1996 buick century was still there. I've only seen security once and that is when they were trying to kick us out of the hot tub at 9pm because they thought thats when it closed.
Other stuff:
Game rooms and work out rooms close when the office does.
Lots of broken glass on sidewalks--heads up if you have dogs!

*What I learned from this: Pay the extra and live somewhere not on Riverside, nothing is ok in this area.
