I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am so piss off at the whole complex. As soon as my lease is up, I am getting the hell out of here and never looking back. Here has been my experience.
On move in day, I walked into a kitchen with the floor covered in all sorts of stuff. I guess they must have fixed up some stuff, but they didn t bother to clean it up. After a week of trying to get them to clean up THEIR mess, I had to do it. Also, it took almost two weeks for them to come and fix our smoke detectors that would go off randomly for a few seconds a couple times a week. Also, the office staff has never been of help to me, no matter what my question is.
According to the model, everything is very nice in the apartment. Of course, the model is the more expensive, upgraded version. So it came as a bit of a shock when our living room had absolutely no lights anywhere in it. This eating area had no lamp over it (like the model suggests). So the whole common area has 3 lights in it, one over the stove, one in the laundry room and one in the kitchen. Thats it. Not at all what I was made to believe.
Another thing they have a cap on their electricity. So if you go under, they pocket that money, if you go over, they charge you. They told us almost no one goes over, and when someone does, they let them know so they can change their habits. Well we went over. That was my bad. The shady office staff however, did not let us know until December that we were going over. So we had September thru December in overages because until they told us, we just assumed we weren t going over. To top all of that off, the only reason we were told about the overages when we were was because my roommate went to the office looking for a package that they never informed him had shown up weeks prior.
So I wanted to break my lease because I am so tired of this place, and wanted to get to a complex with better and more organized management. Only thing is, unless someone subleases your apartment, you cannot break the lease, not even if you die (unless 30 days notice is given. And I am not joking. That clause is actually in the lease)
Basically, if you want a complex that has terrible staff and offer no help to residents, then live here. If not, stay away.

Everything you said is exactly how I felt! I moved in during August and I can't wait for my lease to finish! When I walked into my apartment complex I was hoping it would look like the model and it looked like a ghetto place! I had broken glass in my room and it was just horrible.

Ok i am an apartment critic, and to be honest this place is one of the best in the area. Management has some quarks the staff is friendly until residents come in and don't know how to handle situation. as for the model, when i toured they said that this is the FULL UPGRADE, im sorry if the full upgrade is out of your price range, there were also pictures of the standard in the model as i recall. in addition they explained the utility package well, and when i asked how they let the residents know they said they sent out notices every month and call if its months overdue.
And finally, according to the TAA lease clause 22 yes that is true also the lease gives them right to break into the apartment at the renters expense. thats a standard lease through out ALL of texas... read the 22nd clause of any lease and you will find that clause.
