Plan on getting ripped off

Everything was okay when I moved there. The apartments are pretty nice. Maintenance was good and Nancy in the office was nice. The walls are so thin i could here my neighbors walk to their apartment and their baby cry every night. I could even hear their phone ring! Whenever they come to spray for bugs or check the fire alarm they expect everyone to be home or have their dogs locked up in a cage all day if you work, which i refused to do. By the way, no one picks up after their dogs so expect to step in it. People park their boats and RVs right by their apartment leaving the other residents looking for a spot far away even though they are supposed to park it somewhere else. It took me ten minutes to get home because the complex is so huge. When the kids weren't running in the street, they were hanging on the access gates, riding them as they opened and closed, breaking them every other week. Now that I have left, they sent me a bill with outrageous charges on it totaling almost 900 dollars. I'm fighting it right now. My advice, move here if you work near the area but don't plan on ever leaving unless you want to pay ridiculous charges like 15 dollars for cleaning the toilet or a water bill for the month that you didn't even live there!

Hey, things are looking up since then! Ventana Oaks makes everyone park their boats, etc. in a specific area now, but charge $50 rent for the priviledge. You can also expect to pay rent for your pet now too!

Pet Rent is a great idea. Especially for those who want maintenance to fix problems yet won't lock up the dogs so the guys can get into the apartment.
