It really is a shame that Ventana Oaks now runs this place...

Since the takeover by Ventana Oaks (and they want to make sure you know it--check out all the taped up signs over the old Spraddle Creek ones) this apartment community has really gone down hill. The new staff is unfriendly and can even come across rude when you call in with a maint. request. They come and go in our apartments as they please, leaving no notices that they have entered. They seem to be more concerned about having pizza parties and breakfasts than actually taking care of business in the apartment. You can not count on anything to get done. And every time I go in to the office there seems to be new people. And...(as others have stated) they did wait over two weeks to cash our rent checks. And the excuse they always give (no matter what the problem) is that they are still transitioning over to the new complex. It's all just very frustrating because we used to have such good landlords with the Spraddle Creek people. It really is sad that this apartment complex is going down hill so fast.

I haven't heard the rent check cashing excuse ("transitioning over to the new complex"); the one I've heard tenants say is "there is something wrong with your routing number". And God help you if you renew your lease and don't carefully read through it! If you have a pet, you will be charged "pet rent", and if you were caught with an unauthorized pet during the "insurance inspection" (a.k.a. search & seizure or witch hunt) you are expected to bring your pet in for a mug shot! Next thing you know they will require that your pet have a social security number! Personally, I am sick of these thinly veiled intrusions by the management to invade your privacy and explore your apartment any time they please!!! Insurance inspection my ass!
