First year here was great. Second year was sheer hell. I'm counting down the days until we move.
Mold everywhere...even growing in the ducts. Fire ants are both inside and out and were very bad last summer. There were ant hills everywhere. We had a couple of months where we had fruit flies all through the building.
Some maintenance people are friendly, others are not. they will often treat you like an idiot for trying to get a problem fixed.
New people moved in about us last spring. They are so loud people next to them, 2 floors below them, and even the building over have heard them and complained. Office manager called them "her boys". We have been treated VERY poorly since complaining. recieved notices for a "cluttered" balcony...same exact things have been there for two years with no complaint. Recieved notice about our bikes just outside our door. Other people have bikes in the exact same spots, even strollers abd dune buggies in breezeway. But WE get a notice AFTER we complain about the guys above us.
Gates are always broken....and there were car break ins not long ago.
There have been fires in apartments and the alarms never went off. One happened in the apartment next to me. Lady fell asleep with candles lit, burned one wall. No alarms. Office called fire department the next day when tenant told them about it. Nothing was issued to other apartments stating the danger.
Office staff very unhelpful. Often can;t get anybody except a machine. Have had to resort to calling the head office numerous times to get anything done.
