This was my first experience with a rental property, and I have to say...it's been educational. When I moved in, the complex was still owned by Archstone. They were the greatest!

However, after the property switched hands with Trinity, it was ALL downhill. The ONLY perk to speak of is the friendliness of the maintenance staff -- mind you, this does NOT encompass the timeliness of response to service calls. That much is unacceptable. The office staff itself is the rudest bunch of ignoramuses and snotty twits I've ever laid eyes on. They are patronizing, lazy, and snobbish, and don't seem to have any interest whatsoever in persons already renting in the complex. Their ONLY concern is catching new flies to torture with their hateful madness. Were it not for my husband's simple-minded insistence that we keep staying another year here where we should not, we would have been long gone long ago.

Seemingly motherless children of astonishingly young ages run about unchecked and unsupervised, with no kind of response or reprimand from the office whatsoever. The older children running around unchecked are unfailingly inescapable bullies, and have even threatened ME with their nonsense when I had the nerve to demand that they not pick on a 4-year old little girl.

The outdoor lights throughout the property NEVER work, and are NEVER replaced. We're in the dark here.

Noise violations continue unchecked, regardless of the number of complaints and evidence to prove it.

The people let their dogs crap EVERYWHERE, never pick it up, and are never challenged about it. It is DISGUSTING.

The complex is touted as "Luxury Apartment Homes"...I would like to know which part of my unacceptably filthy carpets are considered luxury. I've requested cleanings countless times, only to be informed that in order to deserve such a "luxury", I have to sign over my soul for another year of hell in this dump. Once the lease is resigned, it is WEEKS before they even turn their attention to it, (in spite of numerous reminder messages), and then the declarations about resigning the lease to get a carpet cleaning begin anew. And of course, any stains that have been in a carpet for over a year are basically set in stone, anyway, so I simply have to deal with the fact that my carpets look like total ass all of the time, regardless.

There have been a rash of break-ins to tenants' cars recently, and this all came about AFTER we had a police officer move onto the property...fishy'' You betcha, considering that the first order of business after he moved in was to let everyone know via one of the tiresome memos that he was here. I actually feel LESS safe with his ass here.

The pools never fail to be unconscionably murky and questionably odorous, when they aren't playing the catcher's mitt for every fallen leaf, dead bug, and pile of dirt in the metro area. Though this seems not to matter to the members of the douche parade who insist on having horrendously loud weeknight pool parties after 1 AM. These parties usually continue unchecked even when the authorities are contacted. Also, all but one of the lights in the pool on the 901 side are out, and have been since the summer of 2006. This has also gone unchecked.

There is no longer pest control provided to the apartments, as there was when Archstone was in charge. This is also not surprising. The ants in my pantry love that fact, and march all over my food. LOVE-ly. Also, and I can NOT stress this enough: The problem with the gnat infestation on this property is so ridiculous, it's almost criminal. When asked for pest control to deal with this problem, I was told that there is nothing that can be done to kill gnats, and I simply have to buck up and deal with it. No pest control officer ever came to investigate.

There is what they have the nerve to deem the "Internet Cafe", in which AT LEAST 2 of the 4 computers are ALWAYS down, and there is no system of checks and balances for time usage, leaving some to sit and wait in vain while some selfish jerk sits on the computer all day long. The fax machine NEVER works, and the coffee maker seems to be forever out of water...that is, unless one of the office twits wants some coffee. She then pours in enough water for her own cup, brews it, and leaves the machine bone-dry once more. This has happened to me personally more than once.

Another lovely facet of the office staff: their seeming inability to get notices to residents in any SEMBLANCE of a timely manner. Notices are not received until the event being memoed has already begun or has taken effect. When our water was off a week ago for water pressure maintenance, we did not receive notice until after opening at 9 AM on the morning of the shutoff. When the office hours changed because they couldn't bear to come in SO EARLY after the time change, we did not get notice of this until 4 days after the new hours had supposedly taken effect.

And although it doesn't seem to be an issue anymore, there used to be daily occurrences of the office being deserted ENTIRELY for hours on end during business hours with no explanation. Doors locked up tight, and not a soul in sight. Nor were there even pretended apologies for the tremendous inconvenience this caused the paying tenants.

It is a dismal, dismal situation here, and if I were you, I would even consider anything along N. Lamar at Rundberg a safer bet than this hovel. One final note: parking is a mess. Tenants with apartments on the side of the complex furthest from the exit gate will park in front of our damn building in order to not have to drive over 3 speed bumps instead of 2, and so I find myself having to park on the farthest end, more than 3 blocks' distance from my 3rd floor apartment, simply because a bunch of lazy douchebags can't be bothered to park in their own damn spaces. And the office staff cares not for this, either. It couldn't matter less to them. This makes me sick, and it should do for you, as well. These people are evil, and it runs on without Trinity home office interference. Don't make this property (or any other Trinity property) your home....it will ruin your life....or at least make a living hell out of it.

I definetely agree with you.. I have been living in this place for about 3 years, and it was WAY BETTER with Archstone, Trinity SUCKS, the staff are sadly rude. And I thought I was the only one being bothered by all those kids running and screaming unsupervised. Once I almost ran one over while getting out of the parking lot, the little girl was hiding behind a car!! I guess playing hide and seek with the other, oh god that was scary and annoying!... I am so moving out as soon as my lease ends. I love the area but not the complex =(

This was the most accurate review I have seen yet. Except since this review was posted there are now problems with unsupervised kids in the parking lot - BIG, ghetto-like problems. They are not providing security.
