This is my first apartment in the Austin area having moved from out of state earlier this year, and it has been a good experience. We never hear our neighbors, but I sometimes hope they cant hear us. :)
The grounds are kept up though not anything fancy, leasing staff are friendly and helpful with problems, and the location is good. Buses closer than Metric (#242) on weekends would help however as I don't own a car, but thats Capital Metro's problem. In all, I highly reccommend these apartments if you have a job in North Austin, or attend school at UT or ACC. ACC is just a 10-15 minute walk and the UT shuttle bus stop about 10 feet from the main gates.

The largest problem is the never-working main car gate. There is (or atleast is room for) a magnetic lock on the gate, which would keep it closed to people who walk up to it and push it open. However not just people do this, many cars, SUVs and trucks do as well. Some days the gate never closes. This has been a problem for some time now, and the management hasn't done much about it.

You right, good location close to shopping centers, mall etc.Not luxurious at all.The staff look very frindly at beginning but after you move in is a completely different history.They are rude, inpolite, when you ask for something, it take a week for them to respond. They don't really care, and please take this in advise change the staff and everything will be fine.
