Village Oaks is a recommended complex to live in

I lived at Village Oaks for over a year and a half and can definitely recommend it as a very nice place to live. First, the area is great - easy access to grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and highways, yet none of the noise because you're further enough away. The area is also nice for walking and biking.
I originally chose Village Oaks primarily because of the location and also the fact that they are the only apartment complex in the area that has washer/dryer in each unit. If you do not own a washer/dryer and do not want to use a community laundromat, this is a huge plus of living at Village Oaks.
Other positives include: plenty of parking close to my unit (although they have added covered parking since I moved out, therefore more spots are now unavailable), maintenance requests were responded to the very same day, friendly staff, very quiet neighbors - never any problems with noise.
The only negative thing I can say is that the apartment gym is a disappointment. It's about the size of a large walk-in closet and you feel cramped if more than one person is in there with you. Give them credit, they have used the limited space with a good assortment of cardio and free weights, but a room expansion is badly needed.
Ultimately, the reason I finally moved out is because I got married. I highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking in the Jollyville/Arboretum area.
