Not so hot

Expensive apartment, but clean when we moved in and the staff was always helpful and friendly. Move out fees were less than expected ($20 for cleaning).
The main resons I did not like this complex:
1. Noise and trash - Residents and their guests were often drunk and loud. Waking up on a saturday morning to find the hallway, lawn, and parking lot littered with cups, beer cans, and broken bottles was a common experience. There was also considerable traffic noise. The large number of police and fire calls in the area make 4am sirens common.
2. Crime - this area has a high crime rate and is filled with students and many low income residents. Vehicle breakins are common and there was even a shooting during our first week.
The internet provided is also so slow and unreliable that my roommate and I were forced to get RoadRunner cable internet.
This would be a nice place to live if you are a frat boy. Otherwise, avoid this place. The rents were rising after we moved out, making a poor deal even worse.
