Two years and counting....

Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
I just signed my lease for my third year here. When I first moved in, my roommate situation fell through because my friends had some issues with their parents, but I talked to the office and they gave me the names of some people in the complex who needed a roommate. I was able to facebook them, and in some cases, call them to see what kind of roommates they were. I picked an apartment and have really enjoyed living in the complex.
I feel like maintenance is pretty much on the ball. Gavin is the maintenance guy and is really helpful whenever something happens. One time, he noticed that our water heater was leaking and got it fixed for us.
This is a really small complex compared to the others on Riverside, which is why I picked it. Some of my friends who have lived in the surrounding complexes, as well as those near campus, have complained of frequent car break-ins. I can't say that I have ever noticed problems around here. After speaking to the Univeristy Police Department, I have realized that it's important to not leave anything in your car, no matter where you live in Austin because it makes people think there may be something valuable in your car.
The complex also has really cute events. I am really busy and have a job, but I have made it to their pool party and also a Thanksgiving Dinner that took place before the holiday. They also have some great amenities. I regularly use the fitness center and have used the tanning bed in the past. Overall, I think this is a great place to live!
