Just rec'd Statement of Security Deposit Account.

Explaination by new manger: Everyone is charge for a light clean @ 25.00; Touch up paint @ $70.00 (our apartment was never painted before we moved in & they know it-even noted on move check list-doesn't matter); and replace drip pans $20.00=$120.00. I THORUGHLY CLEANED, EVEN SHAMPOOED CARPET. CLEAN BATHROOMS WITH BLEACH AND STILL CHARGE ME $10.00 TO CLEAN BATHROOMS. THIS IS INSULTING!!!!!

Also was holding us responsible for following move out cleaning instruction mentioned in lease even when they were not given to us.

They wanted us to pay them $30.00, but because I have a copy of the move in inspection (& they don't, new manger backed of $90.00-so I get $60.00 back instead.
BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty common for Austin. I've never gotten a deposit back, eventhough I left the last place in tip top shape.
