I have lived at the VOSC for over 3 years and have yet to see any change as the new management team "Greystar" has taken over. Maybe the new company is feeding you lies about things getting done. The girls in the office leave are not well kept or professional. They are stuck up and not happy to help you. There is trash all over the pet park that has been there for nearly two weeks, the signs at the front are always on the ground, only one gate on one side is closed making it harder to manuver around it, the coke machine is still missing where you pick up your mail, not to mention the piles of phone books and trash all around it. They've done away with towing, so anyone can park wherever they want. There is no telling how many times I've come home and someone is parked in my covered space that I pay monthly for! Half the doors to the trash recepticals are falling off and they allow tenants to leave beds, washers and dryers and other other misc furniture in the hallways and near the dumpsters that will no doubt stay there for weeks at a time. There are no activties for the tenatns anymore at all... This place is starting to look like goverment housing! Doesn't the manger ever look around the place'!' Stay if you will. I'm moving as soon as my lease is up!

You don't have to wait until your lease is up. I found out (Austin Tenants Council & Tx Property Code) that when a property is foreclosed, the new "owner" or "agent" HAS to offer you a new lease. The previous lease is null & void. If you pay your rent, it's considered a month to month tenacy and you can can leave without penalty - as long as you give 30 day notice & prove the property is in foreclosure! I'm getting the hell out as soon as I find out for sure! They've also DROPPED the lease rates on ALL the apartments!!!!
