The management are total liars.
I moved out before the end of my lease,
and provided them with a note on the
envelope that the key was in when I
dropped it in their drop box.
When I didn't get my security deposit or
last months rent back, they claimed that
they'd never gotten "written notice" that
I was moving out -- but that yes, they
got the key! They then claimed that they
needed an extra month's rent because they
didn't get written notice -- so I told
them to SEND ME A LETTER -- mostly so
I could more effectively sue them.
They never sent me a letter, and then
had the nerve, six months later, to
make a stink with a collections bureau--
when I still haven't gotten my security
deposit back!
I've reported them to the Central Texas
Better Business Bureau -- who already has
quite a file on this bunch.
Don't go anywhere near them, they're
absolute liars and cheats.

I've worked in property management for 10 years and the one thing I can't stress enough to my clients is "Read your contract!" I don't work at Villas of la Costa but I am looking forward to living there.

I as well work in property management and all contracts vary, I currently live at 'villas and can't be more pleased with the management and community.
