Good place to live

I lived in a Villas' loft from August 2004 to June 2006. It worked just fine. Although the pool area was loud from kids playing during the day, older guys playing soccer late into the night and the occasional drunken parties at the hot tub at 2am, the amenities added excitement to my monotonous work and study life. The office and maintenance staff were always helpful. They are honest, straight forward and fair. When I would forget to pay the water bill, they would waive the 5% fee. Fortunately, I had the rent directly withdrawn from my account with auto bill pay, so the rent was never late. Many of the neighbors are "neighborly," providing the quaintness of a friendly community. The complex is located between I-35, 290 & 183, making it difficult to walk anywhere. There is a nearby Mexican grocery store and a convenience store across a 4 lane road. In the St. Johns neighborhood just north, there is a library and a community center, although few people from the complex interact with the community. Hotels and major chain restaurants offer happy hour options within walking distance; however, wait lines can be long at the two major chains on Friday and Saturday nights. For the affordability, UT shuttle access, and the proximity to major highways, this is an ideal complex. I enjoyed living at Villas.
