I lived in villas for 2 years, and at first it was okay, but then someone else became the property manager and things went down hill. i have had the luxury of having my windows bust on my car, and they wouldn't do anything about it!!! i felt like they didn't care or wasn't concerned at all. the insects there is HORRIBLE!!! i stayed with plenty spiders, roaches, it was just awful. it's true, they do play a lot of soccer on the "tennis" courts, so it's like what's the point of having a tennis court''' a lot of kids are scattered throughout the complex unsupervised, loud music, the parking is horrible. i used to get off after midnight at night and would have to park on the other side of the complex and walk and i was scared because it was so late at night, and people would jump the gates to get into the complex, and also my neighbors had like 12 cars just for themselves. i think my neighbor was buying old cars to fix and i would complain, as like i would everything else and nothing would ever get done. but if you were late with rent, they would act quickly to get you out of there. I HATED IT THERE. i feel that they are too expensive for such an uncomfortable run down looking apartment complex. the soda machines never worked, as so the gates were hardly working....what a gated community!!! i would not advise anyone to stay here. when you first get there, they're sooooo nice, but once you move in, you're like....what did i get myself into. i wouldn't reccommend anyone to villas of la nightmare! oh by the way...if u need maintenance, be sure to be home, because they tend to leave their tools behind and NEVER come back to get them, even leave a mess that they DON'T PICK UP!!!

My name is Joslyn Domel and I am the property manager here at Villas of La Costa. I've been the manager here since January 2006. I am sorry to hear how unsatisfied you were while staying at this community. Resident satisfaction is always our first priority and to be honest, I wish we would have known about all of the problems that you were having so that we could have attempted to make your stay a more pleasant one. Beginning with the issue of rent, we give everyone enough time to pay their rent. We don't send the required TAA notices for delinquent rent without first sending a reminder letter, which is not required, but as a courtesy to our residents. Secondly, we have always been strict about unauthorized vehicles, being that there is no assigned parking. This is an issue that we would have addressed promptly had we known about the problem with your neighbor and their cars. As for loud music and unsupervised children, we have a courtesy officer that responds to these complaints after office hours quickly and effectively when reported. We also have limited access gating; and in the event that the gates are not working, they are fixed within 24 hours by our on-site maintenance staff. Most of our residents enjoy the quick and courteous services that our maintenance provides on a regular basis. Follow ups on all service requests are made daily to ensure resident satisfaction. To address your issues with the insects, Pest Control comes every Tuesday as a complimentary service and as a preventative maintenance to the community. Residents are encouraged to notify the office when they are having pest problems. Besides the quarterly treatments each building receives, individual apartments may be treated on a weekly basis per resident's request. Lastly, there were obvious problems before with our soda machine vendors, but now the machines are serviced and restocked on a weekly basis. In short, Villas of La Costa works hard to provide excellent customer service. We encourage our residents to notify us of any problems they are having and we welcome any new challenges to make our community the best it can possibly be. Please feel free to call me to discuss any other problems or concerns you have had with our community. Our phone number is 512-454-5638.

The courtesy office is a joke. He never answers his phone in the middle of the night when he's needed.
